Katie Haney

Welcome to Sra. Haney's website!  I am so pleased to be teaching Spanish II and Spanish III Honors at Union County High School for the 2016-2017 school year!  I am a former graduate of Union High School and I teach Spanish in the same classroom where I had Spanish I and Spanish III Honors during high school.    I have been teaching Spanish for twelve years, teaching in Union County since the beginning of my teaching career.  I graduated in 2005 from Wofford College with a B.A in Spanish and a concentration in Latin American and Caribbean Studies.  I completed a Masters of Education degree from the University of Phoenix with a concentration in Curriculum and Instruction in 2011.  I am currently pursuing a Masters of Romance Languages with emphasis on Spanish from the University of New Orleans.  I will complete this degree in December of 2017.

I am married to Stephen Haney and we have three children, Sara Grace, 7, Mason, 5, and Addy, 5.  We have three dogs Jake, Molly, and Choco.  Jake is a golden retriever/black lab mix and Molly and Choco are chocolate Labrador retrievers.  In my free time, I love to spend time with my family making memories, to read various genres of books, and to travel.  I have traveled to Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Canada, the Bahamas, Costa Rica, and Spain.  I am looking forward to returning to Spain (Madrid and Barcelona) spring break of 2017.  I am a fanatic Clemson fan!  GO TIGERS!
